Choked on my boiled eggs!!
Who needs publicity with stuff like this, me a barbel ace ? I can catch barbel in the Hazelford aquarium but ace is stretching it a bit!!!
So before the snidey comments.

ReplyDeleteA day your plans were scuppered at a memorable BS meeting in Worcester.
On my way back in the Bigguns motor with my travel rod and a tin of Spam.
PEG 109: 5 barbel in 3 hours from 7:30pm.
10lb 11ozs, 9lb 4ozs, 8lb 1oz, 9lb 2oz, and 9lb all before my tin of Spam ran out and I had to go home.
What a struggle that was, and witnessed by your big mate who blanked!
What a day that was in my calender not looked back since, a turning point one may say.
Could tell about more struggles but that'll do for now.

ReplyDeleteThat's another reason why I don't either, shame though, there used to be some interesting articles on Spain, but other than that it's a dead beat, based on trying to ridicule others, bit pathetic really.
